This is a rant, I hope it is not trolling and I don't mean to start a 
flame war etc. etc. I am just upset.

Dear Hiaao (and any other members with the golden keys to BQ),

... these are great examples of problems that have been known about and 
reported as broken for over a year in BlueQuartz.  People have even 
suggested bug fixes and even code to fix these problems and you have 
done nothing but sit there any watch the entire project stagnate into 
nothing.

We now have a fork leaving BQ to wither and die.

BQ could have been awesome!  If you had just released a bit of that grip 
you had to allow others to enhance *our* project and everyone could have 
been happy.
