Do you have Microsoft Virtual PC, Microsoft Virtual Server, VMWare 
Workstation, VMWare Server? Several of those options are free if not and 
provide a good means to setup a virtual environment in which you can install 
the same software you are running and try and upgrade bind and then test 
everything. My guess is all the GUI does is manage the config files and that 
you would be ok since I am sure the bind upgrade is controlled by yum and 
the main centos repository so I would assume it is written to take into 
consideration upgrades. However you never know so always best to setup a 
test environment and see.
