The installer is all Brian's work. :o)

I don't think so. 4.8 did some things differently and it ought to support more 
of the modern hardware that's floating about. It even installs on some boxes 
where the CentOS-5.2 CD waives the white flag.

But yeah: In the end it doesn't matter which CD you use, as a "yum update" 
will take care of all the patches. But using the latest CD may save you 
downloading 400 RPMs or so.
