We have also purchased the Nuonce Web Applications, and that will help
our BQ offering to be more competitive. And that's great for somebody
who wants to just run a default application out of the box like that.
But there are a number of reasons somebody might prefer to install their
own. For instance, customizations, newer versioning (ie: the Joomla
there is 1.0, which is far eclipsed by the features of 1.5) or specific
paths.
Also, this will not help anybody that is creating a custom app or needs
to hands-on administer a MySQL database. Even some upgrades / addons
to these packages will require some MySQL intervention, usually
accomplished via phpMyAdmin.
I'm still of the opinion that a solution is really needed for the MySQL
administration from within the BQ GUI.
