For Centos/redhat version execute
  cat /etc/redhat-release
For BQ version I assume that you execute
  rpm -qa | grep bluequartz

For which I get;
  [root@fsn1 ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
  CentOS release 4.6 (Final)

  [root@fsn1 ~]# rpm -qa | grep bluequartz
  base-bluequartz-glue-5100R-1.20071210BQ77.centos4
  bluequartz-yumconf-4-0BQ3
  base-bluequartz-capstone-5100R-1.20071210BQ77.centos4
