What do you mean, put in as a smarthost? Do you mean as a realy server in
the email part of the gui?

He means add a server to relay your mail in GUI.
Click on Network Services, then Email, then the Advanced Tab.
Add a real and working server to the "Smart Relay Server" field. NOTE: This
server needs to be configuried to receive mail from your mail server or it
will be rejected. In our case we use our backbone providers server which
allows traffic from our IP range. If you do not have a mail server to use
follow the instructions on the line below this one about the "Relay Email
From Hosts/Domains/IP Addresses".
Also on this page make sure you add your domains to "Relay Email From
Hosts/Domains/IP Addresses" - Add them with and without your host names.
Then click save.
