BACKGROUND:

Yesterday evening the bluequartz.org system was not responding to update requests.

Subject:	 Cron <root (at mark) ns2> run-parts /etc/cron.hourly

Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: BlueQuartz
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from BlueQuartz: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

PROBLEM:

After 14 failed yum_checker attempts the POP3 server stopped responding to logins.
The email systems also seem to have stopped accepting incoming emails.

SIMPLE SOLUTION:

Rebooting the systems corrected the situation.

HISTORY:

This seems to be an ongoing problem. Looking back over logs, this has happened several
times in recent weeks.
