Hi Blues,

 One very interesting findings,

My colleagues and I did some testing from 2007 Dec to

2008 Feb. And come to below conclusion.

Why is this important to bluequartz?

We need to squeeze our H/W to multi-tenant more customers.

32 bits OS and 32 bits application give us the max economical throughput
    the tradeoff is speed.

*********************************************************

Although 64 bits OS give better performance in speed.

 ie: spamassassin will benefit

 But

32 bits OS actual give a higher number of concurrency

 eg: httpd, sendmail, etc

compared to 64 bits OS, given the same H/W spec.

The reason might be 32 bits OS and 32 bits application

 have a smaller resource footprint.

patrick
