Zeffie, you're probably right about my lack of knowledge. I did cut my
teeth on Suse 6.1 which at the time I compiled a lot of programs with
dependencies. Now for several years I've been running Gentoo on my home
computer and a few here at work but that compiling is pretty automated.
But I do not have a good understanding of redhat/centos/bluequartz, I'll
admit. Would the Centos site be the one you would recommend to pour over
for learning more? This particular server is complicated by using BQ
because it is basically just a lan server for file sharing and whatever
else. But since I'm also running our web/email server on BQ I figure it
will help me learn it a bit more by using it here too.
