Michael,

  Probably not the most definitive answer (since I am not a "yum" expert), but
here is what I did

in /etc/yum.repos.d file BlueQuartz-Base.repo

[BlueQuartz]
name=BlueQuartz 5100R on CentOS4 - $basearch
baseurl=http://bluequartz.org/pub/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/bluequartz/$basearch/
        http://web10a.ecsis.net/bq-mirror/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/bluequartz/$basearch/
        http://bqrepository.virtbiz.com/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/bluequartz/$basearch/
gpgcheck=0

I simply added the other two mirrors. My understanding is if the
bluequartz.org one fails or does not respond, then it trys the next, etc.
You can order them (how they are listed) as to which one you want to try
first.

Agree wholeheartedly with Brian and Chris, you do need to be careful of what
mirrors you use - whether BQ or other software. At some point we need to get
everything organized enough that we can turn on the gpgcheck which will help
significantly in this regard.

My thrust is two-fold, as Chris mentioned, updating groups of servers takes
time and bandwidth so if I mirror, then I can update all my other machines
from "inside" my own network and save some bits on the wire so to speak.
Secondly, I don't "do" software such as building rpm's, packages, etc so I
use the expertise of others here - and figure this is an easy, low cost way
of giving something back to the community.
