Well, lets face it, thinking can be loud, It's in your mind! ;)

With a few hundred servers in one location, seems like ideal for a
mirror.
Imagine them all accessing;
 
http://bluequartz.org/pub/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/bluequartz/$basearch/
At the same time, not to mention the maybe 10's of thousand others.
