I do note that the eraly version has;
Kernel 2.6.16 #1 Thu Aug 17 14:12:26 EDT 2006 i586 i586 i386 GNU/Linux

Where the later version has;
Kernel 2.6.16i586 #1 Mon Mar 19 16:42:24 GMT 2007 i586 i586 i386
GNU/Linux

So looks like we need a method to update the kernel.
