Next to FDS there is another LDAP-Server (http://directory.apache.org/ 
apacheds/1.5/) which we shouldn't use;-) IMHO OpenLDAP is very wide  
spread and can be seen stable (fds and ads are yals (yet another ldap  
server:-)))

So I vote for OpenLDAP...
