I checked my setup.

 All my Blue boxes have FQDN.


 The mail envelope will tied to your box FQDN

 eg: From: <user> (at mark) <bluebox>  NO FQDN no mail ~ sorry - this is Sendmail security. (8.12 onward)


 the Address From: field will not be affected.
















Hmm.. I dont have 5.6.0 error.
      ~sendmail is stopping you.





Ok Now I understand

 message has come in and

 vacation.pl is activated 

 and you see the error

Try

to turn on debug in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

# log level
O LogLevel=16


2)

delete the ~<user>/.<user>.db #vacation DB
