I was the one that asked this a month or so back (check the archives). 
For what it's worth it's not possible and with all the time we put in 
it's quicker to just rebuild the system.  I horrible pain if it's a 
production box like ours but good to have it on RAID.

Just swap the drive and all should work :-)
