What Gerald said: Use A records instead.

CNAME records on BlueQuartz are problematic because with CNAMEs Sendmail will 
be unable to map email going to aliasses to the correct username. Hence email 
to alias (at mark) domain.com may be rejected with "user unknown", whereas email to 
user (at mark) domain.com may work.

With A records you won't have that problem.
