Well,
I have temporarily solved my problem, until I can dig into this on a standby
server.

I disabled the alias eth0:0, enabled the second NIC, created ifcfg-eth1,
configured it for the IP address of the site, and this works. So this is
definietly an alised NIC issue. Now I just have to figure out if this is an
ARP or ROUTE problem I just now found related to ADSL and alises, or just
something else that is failing on this box. Thanks to those that gave
responses, your suggestions were helpful, even if they served to make me
re-think things I had already tried. Brian, Hisao, and the others that have
provided up with this software, I continue to thank you for the hard work
and effort you contribute to this.
If I ever find the solution, I'll post back so that if someone else runs
into a similar problem, we'll have closure on the list.
