Downloading the DVD ISO of 4.5 I386 ver via Bittorrent..
Should have it by morning... I'll get X86_64 later if needed....
I have a ver 5 DVD Both versions (i386 and X86_64) already....

Ok, it was worth a try. Next step would do what other suggested: Get a stock 
CentOS-4.5 install CD and try with that. If that doesn't work, try CentOS-5 - 
just to see if that gets you going. If THAT fails as well, then it would be 
time filing a bug report with the CentOS people by giving them specific 
information about the problem and your hardware, so that they can sort you 
out.
