Thanks to everyone for the replies.
I do not want to disable it for everyone, just one vsite. If I
remove/alter the entries in the bluequartz.conf file, it effects the
whole server.
For drupal, it is a pain to find and replace all the instances of
'admin' with something else, and this will break if I do any upgrades
in the future.
I ended up finding a the link in drupals docs that say to create an
alias for /administrator that points to /admin. This still does not
allow access to /admin directly in drupal, but bypasses the redirect
in apache. All other instances of /admin are called as /admin/menu,
or /admin/module, ect... so the workaround get's me up and running for
now.
So, I would still like to figure out a way to clear a single re-write
rule from down in the .htaccess or vsite config areas, but I'm not
coming up with much while googling.
